Exactly two years ago, I moved to Asheville.
Tomorrow I am leaving the house that I have called home for those two years.
I am ready for a change, but there is the most bittersweet feeling in my heart.

i believe i have truly realized the definition of stress.
12 hours before my THREE finals tomorrow for the most important semester of my college career, i have only been able to dedicate 2 1/2 hours of studying.
why do you ask?
well not only am i coughing up my lungs and my head feels like it's going to explode, but the house that i have lived in for 2 years is falling apart.
we are all moving out before the end of january and no one is happy about it.
i have to do what makes me happy, but i am so overwhelmed with guilt.
i am beginning to rethink some relationships of mine and trying to determine if maintaining them is a healthy decision.
i am overwhelmed with the amount of studying i have to accomplish in the next 12 hours and the constant list running through my head of assignments and more studying that i have to finish by the end of the week.
friday seems forever away. |

having classes cancelled because of the gas situation has turned me into the laziest person today. i didn't wake up until 1, i've been on the internet all day looking at nothing, i've smoked pot twice, i left the house once to get a sandwich and i am still in my pajamas. i left my bike at leeann's so i have an excuse to not exercise. it's nice to have nothing to do but i feel pretty worthless.

summer is coming to an end and it's pretty depressing. intense semester beginning in a few weeks, i'm excited but i feel so unprepared.
this summer consisted of a lot of laughs and friends and just enjoying asheville. i'm in a relationship with a very wonderful and special person and i couldn't be happier.
a couple of days ago i fell asleep in my contacts and woke up with a severely scratched cornea. it was so painful i couldn't read, watch tv/movies, get on the computer. i've been pretty limited to laying in bed and talking on the phone. frustration ensued. today i feel much better but my eye still looks the same.
the upside of having a scratched cornea: looking like an infected zombie killer

accepted into dental assisting program (WOO!)
need to find a good home for sweet eli, i can't keep him and i'm heartbroken
met a fine gentleman who writes me letters and makes me very happy
i don't eat meat anymore
charlotte this weekend was exactly what i needed

the semester is almost over, i am beginning to see the light
i feel like i've been married to my research paper for the past month and am now taking advantage of my new freedom
i cut my bangs the other day, i like them

my boss found him stuck in a tree next to their house, he had been in the tree for a few days before they rescued him. he is the sweetest little cuddle bug. i call him noodle because he's long and skinny. i can't decide if i'm going to keep him but i think i'm falling in love. |

Sharon Long is a forensic artist who sculpts faces out of clay onto human skulls belonging to victims of murders that have rendered them unidentifiable. Sharon has been doing this for 20 years and has even helped identify the crew of the H.L Hunley, a Confederate submarine sunk during the Civil War.
It's a bit creepy but extremely fascinating.

i've been making banana nut bread instead of doing my creative writing homework
tonight when the sun went down i was walking through the house
turning on all the lights and it just hit me that i was completely happy with life
and i stood there in the middle of the dining room for a moment and smiled
of course the moment didn't last for too long because they never do
but it was refreshing |
